In this new year let’s fortify our spirits and strengthen our resolve to live in the Lord’s presence intentionally. It’s been a lengthy season of turmoil and anxiety, but those who follow Jesus… focus on the Father’s proven character… and listen to the Spirit’s promptings daily will be comforted, rebuilt, and safe.
In that context, let us offer the following Scriptures and songs for your walk of faith:
Behold, the LORD’S hand is not so short that it cannot save, nor is His ear so dull that it cannot hear. Isaiah 59:1
Oh, that You would rend the heavens and come down, that the mountains might quake at Your presence. Isaiah 64:1
For thus the Lord God, the Holy One of Israel, has said, “In repentance and rest you will be saved. In quietness and trust is your strength…Therefore, the Lord longs to be gracious to you; and therefore, He waits on high to have compassion on you. Isaiah 30:15a, 18a

You are my hiding place. You preserve me from trouble. You surround me with songs of deliverance (Selah). I will instruct you and teach you in the way which you should go. I will counsel you with My eye upon you. Psalm 32:7-8
In You, O Lord, I have taken refuge. Let me never be ashamed. In Your righteousness deliver me and rescue me. Incline Your ear to me and save me.
Be to me a rock of habitation to which I may continually come. You have given commandment to save me, for You are my rock and my fortress. Psalm 71:1-3

If you abide in Me and My words abide in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you. My Father is glorified by this, that you bear much fruit, and so prove to be My disciples. Just as the Father has loved Me, I have also loved you; abide in My love. John 15:7-9
For it is God who is at work in you, both to will and to work for His good pleasure. Do all things without grumbling or disputing, that you will prove yourselves to be blameless and innocent, children of God, above reproach in the midst of a crooked and perverse generation, among whom you appear as lights in the world. Philippians 2:13-15
Therefore, brethren, since we have confidence to enter the holy place by the blood of Jesus, by a new and living way which He inaugurated for us through the veil, that is, His flesh; and since we have a great priest over the house of God, let us draw near with a sincere heart in full assurance of faith…Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for He who promised is faithful. Hebrews 10:19-23
And what more shall I say? For time will fail me if I tell of Gideon, Barak, Samson, Jephthah, of David and Samuel and the prophets, who by faith conquered kingdoms, performed acts of righteousness, obtained promises, shut the mouths of lions, quenched the power of fire, escaped the edge of the sword, from weakness were made strong, became mighty in war, put foreign armies to flight. Hebrews 11:32-34
But thanks be to God, who always leads us in triumph in Christ, and manifests through us the sweet aroma of the knowledge of Him in every place. For we are a fragrance of Christ to God among those who are being saved and among those who are perishing. II Corinthians 2:14-15
