by His design believes the only effective way to minister to people dealing with loss is to have locally-trained ministry organizations. We’ve all recently witnessed news reports and the devastating impact tragedy can have in communities. by His design and Wesleyan Publishing House have created a ministry kit (The Way of Hope DVD, and two books, The Way of Hope… and Hope in the Midst of Loss) to aid organizations in their pastoral ministry. It is our desire to support others in their efforts to effectively change lives and bring healing to many.
Certain Criteria Need to Be Met:
Organizations need to give at least two workshops in their community, and hopefully many more. (These could be used in a Sunday school class, home Bible studies, a one-day workshop, an off-site retreat, or a multiple-week workshop series).
An organization will make available The Way of Hope (book) as reference material for all workshop participants, who could purchase the book for $14.99. This cost could also be included in the registration fee.
It is strongly suggested that an organization give Hope in The Midst of Loss, the follow-up devotionals, to participants who have completed the workshop. This resource serves to support their growth in recovery as they walk in a new mindset.
by His design will be available by phone or email as consultants to answer questions and give facilitators direction as needed.
The kit includes a DVD rom with a leader’s guide, along with additional support material for the ministry leader.
In addition, by His design has created nine sermon outlines to aid the pastor in doing an all-church series on recovering from loss which reinforces and expands on the concepts workshop participant are learning.
Follow The Way of Hope with your group—in your church, home, or community—and travel together alongside Beth and Dave Weikel as they lead you through the dark paths of loss toward the true light, found only in God’s Word.
They themselves have passed the way of tragic loss several times and have found that, through the pain and brokenness, God’s promises in Scripture become so much more meaningful.
DVD video teachings, combined with online facilitator resources and the follow-up devotional, Hope in the Midst of Loss, make for a transformational group discipleship journey while passing through the valley of the shadow of loss.
